During the Term one of the units of mathematics we did was looking at maps. We drew a map that Hansel and Gretel could have used after they were taken deep into the forest. Some of the children had trouble understanding aspects of the map so Mrs Turner went to the supermarket and bought us all these neat things to put onto a map. Here are some photos.
Well we a re nearly at the end of Term Three and I really don't know where the term has gone. We have had some excellent learning happening within the Syndicate and in Room 2. Highlights include our Photo Shots unit (photos to follow), our Letterbox unit (more photos to follow), our Olympic unit where the children gave their presentations and finally our bread unit.

Some of our fabulous Camera Shots.

Welcome to Term Three. I hope you all had a wonderful break with your children and you all got some R @ R time together.
We have had a great start to the term. Our week last week included a free concert at Forum North. We walked down to Forum North and Room 2 did the school and our classroom proud. They were very well behaved.

Thursday 17th may 2012

We were very lucky this morning as we had some more senior students come into our room and show us how to access and do some interesting activities and  follow directions from YouTube. We really enjoyed our   'YouTube Revolution' time and look forward to doing it again in week 5. Look at some of the things we learnt how to do.

Well we are now at the end of the third week of Term Two. Check out our cool Anzac display hanging in the classroom. We have enjoyed learning about Gallipoli and those brave soldiers who fought and made the ultimate sacrifice. Lest We Forget!

Term Two

Well we are into Term Two already and this is week 3. I feel like our feet have hardly hit the ground this term. There are lots of things planned. In class we have already done some work on The Anzac's and the part they played in World War One and in particular Gallipoli.

Check out our Poppy Field Art which was inspired by Claude Monet's 'Poppy Field'
